New to KMI Master Minds™?

KMI Master Minds™ are designed with creativity and kaizen making them a low pressured, enjoyable and effective way to generate and elevate an idea or project.

During each master mind, there is time for the members to work as a whole for the benefit of the member in the choice (hot) seat. While there may not always be time for every member to have a turn in the choice seat, everyone receives value. Each master mind also provides time to take individual action and make progress on your own project or idea.  And, by the way, writing a list of what needs to be done (or what has been done) counts as taking action!

Frequently Asked Questions

What does KMI stand for?
KMI originally stood for Kaizen-Muse Infused Master Mind™, but that was a bit of a mouthful, so we shortened it to KMI. K is for kaizen - the kinder, smarter way to create positive continuous change. M is for muse - the bringer of creative inspiration and also refers to the whimsical work of Jill Badonsky. I is for infused - the way kaizen and creativity inform and permeate all aspects of the KMI Master Mind™.

What is a master mind?
A master mind is a group of people coming together for the support and advancement of each individual member.  A KMI Master Mind™ is a master mind of a different colour.  Layered over the basic principles of a master mind are three key concepts: the kaizen philosophy, the non-linear creative process and a sense of fun and enjoyment.

What is the difference between a master mind and a circle?
In a circle everyone is equal and participates through sharing and holding space for others. In a master mind each person takes a turn at being the focal point; of putting forward their request and having all minds work as one to meet that request. A KMI Master Mind™ incorporates elements of a circle, is intimate and supportive and also has the power of a think tank!

What is kaizen?
Kaizen is a philosophy. It's a kinder smarter way to create positive change. Its basic pillars, or tools, for continuous improvement are thinking tiny thoughts, taking small actions, asking small questions and receiving small and relevant rewards. The process breaks down large projects into small, manageable bite-size pieces so you are able to bypass procrastination and perfectionism - two enemies of real progress. Kaizen defuses resistance and overwhelm and allows you to create a gentle sustainable momentum to accomplish your goals.

What makes a KMI Master Mind different?
It's the blend of all that makes a traditional master mind so powerful, with the gentle and effective kaizen philosophy and a generous sprinkle of creativity. As on participant said,"It is like a gentle propellent, that's always there when you need a boost."

Will these be recorded?
These master mind sessions will be recorded but attend live to experience the benefits.

What technology do I need to participate?
We use the friendly and free video conferencing platform Zoom. You can access Zoom via computer/laptop, tablet, or mobile device. You just need to download and install a free piece of software. If you don’t want to video conference, you can also call into the session via telephone, but long distance charges may apply. Note, if you are on a limited data plan the latter may be a better option for you.

Where is The Purple Ink Cafe?
The Purple Ink Cafe is a virtual place and space to connect, create, and collaborate. That being said, we let you create your own version - with exactly what you need in the moment - with a short guided relaxation which leads you into the cafe through your own imagination!  The magic of modern technology and the user friendly app Zoom lets us connect in real time, both visually and auditorily, from the comfort of your own surroundings.
